...since his early days in doo-wop as the founding member of the Hindtones. I followed him during his semi-retirement when he was playing at the Ramada Inn as a member of Artie & the Hindmost, and I was his #1 fan during his brief flirtation with glam-rock as Morgan le Fey. I have to admit I wasn't too enamored with his foray into 80's pop as a-hind, but I was right behind him when he resurfaced in the 90's as part of Pearl Stone Hinds Temple Jam. No one could do more songs on the same level than they could! This newest iteration is puzzling, but I'm willing to give it a chance, as long as it has a beat and is easy to dance to.

My intro to Emerald Rose's music came through a good friend of mine who is a fellow member of the Pagan student group here at Univ. of South Carolina..she directed me to the band's website, from which I found the mp3 site..then she let me borrow her copy of "Bending Tradition"...
As I am always on the lookout for new Pagan bands to listen to, and am a big fan of Celtic and folk (and Celtic folk) music anyway, Emerald Rose was a natural for me  Blessed Be, Stormcrow P.S. :So when's a new studio album coming...?

Pagan Pride Day in Jacksonville, FL. My non-Pagan mom, Aunt and neighbors that came along with me are also new fans. My mom insisted that I buy a CD (she had spent all of her money) so that we could listen to it on the way home. Hope to see you guys again at Autumn Meet.

Welcome to the board, RL! Speaking of Jacksonville, we were just blown away by the great reception we got down there! We were a little concerned at first when the ArtsFest people had us playing on a tiny stage in full sun at the far end of the park...but as usual for us, we arm-wrestled people as necessary until we got a nice shady spot in the middle of the festival (even if it did require climbing a light pole to get power
and had a great crowd.We sold a boatload of CDs and we've been deluged with great fan e-mails from JAX, plus some more CD's sold from our website to folks down there. You folks rock! Must be the good seafood or something. Wonder if we could get a regular gig at Joe's Crab Shack? See y'all at AutumnMeet! |

My partner, Lumina, and I were hand-fasted at Starbridge in Brian's home (weather turned bad - he opened up his home to us!) Once at Starbridge watched the band start up and grow!!! Been groupies ever since

Hello to all the ezboard folks out there...Cheryl from NY here - I'm new to this discussion board thing; I usually just post to the ER website guestbook. This looked cool, so I signed up and here I am typing up my first post...
I first saw Emerald Rose last year, at the end of September in NYC at the 1st Annual NYC PPD - I got hooked then, and have seen them a bunch of times since, mostly in NY, but I went down to DragonCon for the first time in August & saw them there (I missed Thursday and Friday nights though, grrr), which was a lot of fun!!! WOW what a Con.... I'm signed up for the Ireland trip this coming Spring as well, and am really psyched for it...woo hoo! Glad to be aboard... MM Cheryl |
