The Hill of Tara holds an place in the hearts and souls of the Irish because of it's immense historical and mythological significance.It is probably the equivalent in some ways of Stonehenge in it's importance to the psyche of it's people.
So why then have the Irish government done what the English government did with Stonhenge and allowed plans to go through for a motorway and incineration plant to be built through the valley despoiling one of Ireland's national treasures.

I think it's a disgrace that even in these supposedly enlightened times when it comes to our heritage we can allow this to happen. Please if you value Irish heritage spare a moment to sign the petition.
